Pastoral Services

Our community is made up of many different people from many different backgrounds.

We embrace this diversity and offer our church for spiritual and emotional support, for your celebrations and remembrance.

If you would like to talk to us about a baptism or dedication, celebrating and preparing for your marriage, remembering the life of a loved one or another event important to you or our community, we would love to talk to you about it.

There is more information on our ministries below or you may like to give us a call on 09 299 8086 and talk to us about how we can help.

BAPTISM or DEDICATION

Baptism is a symbol of our love, trust and hope in Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity for you to thank God for the arrival of your new child and to ask for God’s blessing on the life of your child and your family as you continue your parenting journey. We also welcome adult baptisms as you commit to a new life with Christ.

FUNERALS

We know that it can be difficult planning a funeral and that it helps to have the support of your family and community through this challenging time. At Papakura Anglican we can offer the support of a Christian service to help you celebrate and remember a loved one and provide ongoing pastoral support.

WEDDINGS

Congratulations! Getting married is one of the most exciting times of your life, and we want to offer you what support we can as you prepare for the big day. We have a number of beautiful chapels throughout the region to enhance your special day.

Connecting with our local communities

Op Shop | Lower level Papakura Anglican Church

The parish operates an Op Shop at 40 Coles Crescent Papakura which supports our work in the local community. We will gratefully accept goods and donations, please contact the office. Our outreach has been running for almost 50 years and is kindly staffed by volunteers, so swing past and say hi!

Food Bank

Thank to the generous donations of parishioners and community we are able to offer food parcels to those in need. A small team of helpers puts together parcels of non-perishable items that are either for individuals or families. When people come in for food support, we take the time to connect and listen and help respond in a practical and heartfelt way.
